Although some noted a need for a broader selection in the light breakfast category, the variety of heavier options, including rice and succulent meats, has been well-received. However, there is room for improvement in specific areas, like the quality of the ham, to elevate the overall experience. The rich flavors of the sinigang during dinner also won praise for their authenticity.
While the stunning coastal view pairs beautifully with your meal, some guests have mentioned distractions from local vendors along the beach. “ Food We had our dinner and breakfast here. During dinner, we ate the following: sinigang, chicken inasal, sisig, and eggplant. It was good, sinigang has the right taste. For breakfast on our first morning, it was kinda sad, with little options only, and they kept running out of food. And I had to refill so you really had to wait Service Service was okay, nothing special or bad to comment. Atmosphere The place was clean and pretty upscale ”
“ Coast is the in-house restaurant of Aureo resort in la union. It's where they serve the buffet breakfast but they also serve lunch, dinner and snacks in-between here. On weekends, they have a band playing mellow music for the enjoyment of the guests. They also serve cocktails, beer and other alcoholic drinks here. It's nice to eat here when they open at 7 so you can get a seat by the beach ”
“ Pretty impressive view of the beach. Very delicious food and very friendly staff. Nice selection of the breakfast buffet. I just wish they had MORE pancakes. I would like to come back again. Maybe get the room facing the pool next time. Also the lobby was too hot since everything was open. You can cook fried chicken from the oil coming out of the staff's forehead because of the heat. Lol ”
“ Coast Bar and Restaurant is an absolute gem overlooking the pristine South China Sea in Aurea La Union. We stopped by for a couple of snacks while waiting for our check-in time and were blown away by the amazing and professionally prepared food. The breakfast spread the next morning was equally impressive, offering a delightful array of Asian and Western options, from longganisa to salads. The wait staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly, adding to the overall wonderful experience. Coast Bar and Restaurant definitely exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to return! ”
“ Went here thrice: once for ala carte dining and twice for the breakfast buffet. ⭐Ala Carte Dining Review: Food is good and menu is catered to the Filipino palate. While we are not really fans of Filipino food ourselves, the local touch of bagnet and other local dishes fused on the regular filipino dishes made it worth trying for us. We ordered a total of 4 main dishes and one side: TUNA KILAWEN, PINOY SALAD, PINAKBET with BAGNET and Boneless Crispy Pata KAREKARE with a side of garlic rice. In general, they were all good. My favorite is the tuna kilawen, very fresh and had a good portion. My husband’s favorite was the Pinakbet- aside from it being good, the serving was HUGE! next would be the karekare, it was too small for the price for me. And lastly, the pinoy salad which was just a few boiled veggies with salted egg and bagoong. A 3/5 considering the servings of karekare and pinoy salad but evened out with the kilawen which was really fresh and the pinakbet filled with Ilocano goodness! ⭐BUFFET BREAKFAST REVIEW Plenty of options and good variety of food but menu is mainly Filipino dishes. Be prepared for heavy breakfast: rice, meats and even pasta hahaha Our second morning’s breakfast had more meat options than the first one. Cereals, few breads, salads and fruits are available if you prefer light breakfast. Coffee is surprisingly good despite being mass-brewed. Omelette station is always a nice touch. I did not like their ham- it’s that pink overly processed sweet ham you buy in the market, hope you improve this, it really ruins the omelet in general :( Overall, the buffet breakfast covered all the basics. A suggestion would be a wider variety of bread for people who don’t eat heavy meals in the morning. SERVICE on all visits is excellent!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Atmosphere was gonna be 5/5 if not for two factors: One, Bangaw (flies) flying all over the food. We were hand-fanning them away while eating hahaha Two, vendors selling outside the restaurant are killing the vibe. I understand the need to make a living but we came here to relax and enjoy the beach views… but the sellers bystand infront of your view and every single time you just want to be lost watching the ocean waves, they will call out to you and keep offering their products despite already saying and signing no even when we walk to the shore, they are always killing the moment, even walking infront of our cameras when we take photos:( i had to edit them out of our photos i do believe these types of business have proper places for them and if i really wanted to buy, i’d go there to buy, and definitely not on the beach while i’m sipping coconut enjoying a well long awaited vacation. ”
“ We dined at Coast almost every day during our 4-day stay at Aureo Resort, and it was always a great experience! The food is consistently delicious—we enjoyed everything we ordered throughout our stay. They even have a boodle fight menu, which is perfect for sharing and adds to the fun. To make the most of our meals, we usually avoided peak dining hours or pre-ordered to lessen waiting time, which worked really well. Special compliments to the staff who took care of us so warmly—Sam, Royet, Melvin, Florence, and Crystal. Their excellent service made our dining experience even better. Thank you for making us feel so well taken care of! ”
